Dr. Michael J. Helms founded Indy Podiatry in 1988 and spent more than three decades providing exceptional foot and ankle care to the Indianapolis community. After 37 years in practice, he has retired, leaving behind a legacy defined by clinical excellence, compassionate care, and long-standing patient relationships.
Dr. Helms has entrusted the practice to Dr. Higgins and Dr. Chhiba, who remain committed to upholding the values and exceptional standard of care he established. Alongside their associate, Dr. Kompier, they will continue providing thoughtful, patient-centered treatment to the community Dr. Helms faithfully served for so many years.
In retirement, Dr. Helms looks forward to spending more time with his family—especially his many grandchildren—and enjoying the next chapter after a distinguished career.
